"Haiku photography; seeing the world with fresh eyes."
An out and about photography session led by Donald from wellpresent and Simon Gaddes from Quiet Life Photos. The session will combine mindfulness practice with the act of creating fresh and original images. We will do some very simple mindfulness exercises to help us develop the qualties of simplicity, spontaneity and naturalness.
The haiku is the essence of zen. It's about looking closely at the ordinary details of life. It's about creating something beautiful with as few elements as possibly. In haiku photography less if very definitely more!
Should interest anyone who want to develop photography as a contemplative practice or for photographers who want to develop a keener eye. No experience necessary.
We will be exploring Anston Stones Wood near North Anston, Sheffield, a beautiful ancient wood.
Check out some of Simon's remarkable images on his website.
The cost is only £10 payable on the day but please book in advance so that we know how many people to expect. We'll send you details by email.
