This is an 8-week course in Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR). MBSR is the gold standard training for those who are serious about making mindfulness an important part of their lives. We have been running this course in Barnsley for 6 years now and hundreds of people have completed it and found huge benefits from doing so. Everybody possesses the capacity to be mindful; the course shows you how you can develop this capacity and use it to live life more fully. Wellpresent teachers are all qualified to teach via the teacher training programme at Bangor University; we are all supervised and accredited by the UK Network of Mindfulness Teacher Trainers. This course is offered at a discount, thanks to the generosity of the Exchange Recovery College who allow us to use their premises free of charge. Concessions for those on low income, and assisted places for those on benefits who can be referred by a health professional, are also available. Please ask if you think this applies to you.
The course runs for eight consecutive weeks on Thursday evenings, 25th January to 22nd March. No class on half term week. There will be a day of silent practice, which is open to all participants, on Sunday 11th March.
