A Day Of Mindfulness

This is a day event in which we will explore what mindfulness is and how you can be more present in your life. This would be an opportunity to experience some of the practices we teach in the 8-week course and would suit anyone who wanted to find out what mindfulness is all about but may not be ready to make the commitment to join a course. The day would also suit people who may have let their mindfulness practice slip and want to revive it.

We will guide you in some of the core practices we teach in our courses - the body scan, sitting meditation and mindful movement - as well as short practices that will help you develop mindfulness throughout your day to day life. There will be plenty of time to relax and reflect as well. To help nurture an atmosphere that is conducive to mindful aweareness, the day will mostly be silent but there will be opportunities to discuss and ask questions throughout the day.

We are running this event at Wood Lane Countryside Centre in Sheffield, a semi-rural location close to the city and very accessible by public transport.
